ABA Formal Opinion 08-451 confirms that lawyers may outsource legal and support work, including overseas, if they supervise it, protect client confidences and get the client's informed consent before sharing confidential information. Formal Opinion 512 (2024) applies the same duties to generative AI. Your attorney reviews and signs everything we prepare.
